We recommend a proper surfcasting shock leader since the added power could snap the line while casting, we recommend a 10-15lb stronger leader than your main line

To attach the Vantage Peak Casting Trigger to your rod, you can use the included zip ties or using electrical tape to strap it above the reel seat, with the trigger where you would normally have your finger when you cast without the Vantage Peak Casting Trigger.

To Use:

Simply flip the trigger forward, wrap your line 1-4 times around the capstand.
Flip the trigger back, open your bail arm and make your cast.

This casting finger is comparable to the Okuma Cast Cannon or the Breakaway Casting Aid except at a mere fraction of the price.
